An outdoor boudoir photo shoot is an absolute delight, particularly if you are a nature lover. You will have the opportunity to pose near a lake, sit on the beach sand, or adorn yourself with beautiful flowers. In fact, you will be surrounded by many natural elements that can make you feel more empowered and beautiful.
That said, here are some of my favorite ideas you can consider trying during your next outdoor boudoir session:
1. Reclining on the beach shore
The beach is an excellent choice for an outdoor boudoir photo shoot if you want your pictures to scream relaxation and self-love.
The soft sand, the waves, and that endless ocean view create a dreamy vibe that’ll make your photos look super unique and gorgeous. Plus, you can go wild and take shots in the sand, in the water, or even on those cool rocks.
If you want to capture different creative boudoir pictures of yourself at the beach, I’d highly recommend you consider posing during sunrise and sunset.
2. In a park or garden
If you want real nature-inspired boudoir portraits, parks and gardens are great places for you to consider. They’ve got a variety of settings, from lush greenery to lush open spaces, which really add a romantic and soft touch to your images.
On a personal level, I really find parks and gardens pretty cool because they offer several props and interesting stuff like fountains, statues, and benches, which I usually play around with during my boudoir session.
3. Walking across the field unclad
For a more confident look, consider walking across the field with a sense of freedom and self-assuredness. You can do this while wearing your finest underwear or nothing at all.
Please do keep in mind that it’s illegal to execute this idea in public places across the country. Therefore, I suggest that you do it in your own backyard or a more private setting, far away from the public.
4. Hugging a tree
If you’re proud of your body and your natural beauty, consider hugging a tree during your outdoor boudoir photoshoot. It’s a wonderful way to connect with nature and show Mother Nature just how much you appreciate the gift of yourself.
“Tree hugging is the easiest yoga art to connect you with nature.” — Amit Ray, Yoga the Science of Well-Being.
Hugging a tree can also symbolize self-care and love. So, during your next outdoor boudoir adventure, consider hugging a tree while completely naked or dressed in earthly flowy clothing that complements the natural environment and your beautiful body.
5. Consider an underwater boudoir
If you are looking for an adventurous boudoir session, I’d recommend you try underwater boudoir photography in a pool or natural body of water.
The play of light and water on your body can help you feel relaxed, resulting in pictures showing your real beauty and confidence.
6. Lying down in a field of flowers
In general, fields of flowers are a colorful and cheerful setting for outdoor portraits. They can add an extra layer of beauty and sweetness to your body, resulting in more creative and alluring photographs of yourself.
You can choose to either lounge or stand tall among the flowers, depending on the part of your body you’d like the camera to focus on. If you are going for shots of just your face and bosom, consider reclining on your back.
But if you are looking for something different, like a pic that highlights your face and upper body, give standing tall amidst the flowers a shot.
Quick tip: Make sure to pick a field with flowers that aren’t too vibrant or eye-catching for your photoshoot because they might steal the spotlight in your pictures.
7. Pose under the blue sky at sunrise or sunset
An outdoor boudoir photography session under the blue sky at sunrise or sunset is truly one of the best experiences you can have, especially if you are aiming for flattering boudoir shots.
During these times of the day, the natural sunlight is typically soft, creating a romantic and magical atmosphere that’s perfect for outdoor boudoir portrait sessions.
8. Lying down by the pool
One of the most confident outdoor boudoir ideas is to recline by the pool. This is an excellent option if you’re not near a beach or if you’re not comfortable wearing lingerie or more intimate clothing items in an open space.
