Start With A Suitable Lens
Choose the camera that is especially for the portraits that create the blurred background. A camera that allows it to switch on aperture mode is labeled as A or Av is specific for selecting aperture. You can adjust the aperture there, which is not possible in program mode. Pick the lens that has small f-stop capabilities.
Many lenses are now on the market that are best for blurred photographs, and you have to only choose the best one that has a long focal length and large aperture.
Understand Its Wide Aperture
Every camera lens has an opening for light that is known as an aperture. Most cameras have variable apertures, and you can adjust the aperture size by adjusting the f-number in settings. The larger the aperture smaller will be the f value, and the lower the f value, the softer will be the background blur, and it allows the maximum light to reach the camera sensor.
An expensive camera lens with larger glass in front has low apertures as f/1.2, but the typical kit lens has a limited maximum aperture of f/2.8 or even f/3.5. If you are using a lens of 50mm 1.2 lenses, you have to set aperture to an f-stop of 1.2 to create the best background blur. However, f/2.2 also produces a blurred background, but it is not blurred and can show elements in the background.
A camera with large sensors can achieve larger focal lengths and can produce better background blur. The 35mm camera sensor is best for high-quality photography, delivering better blur results.
Distance from the Subject
The background can be made to blur in a photograph by moving closer to the subject and focusing on it intensely while keeping the background far from it. The blur will increase with the distance between the subject and the background. Distance in photography matters the most if you want a professional background blur. By moving closer to the subject and farthest from the background, we can achieve a high-quality blur.
Depth of Field is the distance between the farthest and closest objects in your image. Everything which is beyond the depth of field will be blurred. Consider this, if you place any subject against the door or wall, you cannot get a blurred background because the distance between the wall and the subject is very small.
But if you are shooting outdoors, like around the river or the city, you can achieve the perfect blurriness in the background because there is too much distance between the subject and the background. It enhances the quality of the picture by applying focus on the specific area.
Blur Using Longer Focal Length
Every lens has its focal length. Some have prime lenses that are fixed, while others have zoom lenses that have the whole range. Focal length means how the lens zooms the object. Use long focal length lenses and zoom in on the subject to make the background blur with the use of proper zooming skills.
The 85mm lens is best for portrait pictures that will perfectly blur the background. The more millimeters you increase, the perfect will be the blur effect.

Macro Effect
Macro Photography is the extreme close-up photography of small subjects like food or insects in which the size of the subject looks too large in the picture than its original size. It combines a larger focal length and wide apertures and a thin area of focus can be created. Moving closer to the subject works for any kind of lens to produce blur in the background.
This photography uses special kinds of lenses to achieve focus on the subject more than normal lenses because special macro photography lenses can allow you to take close up to the extreme level. To create blurriness, move the subject away from the background. While taking a picture, just focus on the subject and press the shutter button halfway.
When you hear the sound, it means that the camera has auto-focused the subject, then you have to completely press the shutter button to click the picture. It will create the best-focused picture with a blurred background.
